Some good news and a little admin

First of all, thanks to all of you for your supportive messages about hostessing - and I want to assure everyone that ultimately, I really do think it's worth it. Quilters on the whole are fabulous people to work with and the work produced in both rounds of this swap has generally been really lovely - and that's across a variety of skill levels, not just at the top ability. Furthermore, I have heard that one of the quilts lost in the post was returned to sender (after months) and is now once again on its way to where it should have gone to begin with and one of the really late quilts is now finished and being sent off (so that recipient will have two pieces from this swap - lucky girl). And, to ice the cake, I had a really lovely email from the person who made the quilt that was badly quilted so feel much better on that count as well. So, soon I will be able to draw a line under round 2 and think about round 3.

I do still intend to do art quilts only in round 3, because I think there's more of a gap in the market for that, but who knows, perhaps if I feel up to round 4, we'll open it back up again! There are lots of you I'd love to swap with again who may not do art quilts and I'd hate to leave you out of all the future rounds.

I also have a couple of ideas up my sleeve for later in the year for UK quilters (probably only UK, as there will be more posting involved) - like a mail art round robin or a grab bag swap.

In the meantime, happy quilting to all!

Ah, that is all very good news, Kate! I'm glad to hear that the lost have been found and feathers generally unruffled...let's hope that these swaps can continue. You do a terrific job in keeping everything and one straight!
